On World COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Day,C. M. Hospital in collaboration with IMA Pandalam branch organized a COPD awareness seminar at the hospital auditorium. Discussions were held on the clinical features, diagnosis & management of COPD, importance of breathing exercises and nutrition in COPD. A free PFT camp was also conducted as part of the seminar. Dr. Nisha Mathew (Consultant Pulmonologist), Miss. Elizabeth Joseph (Physiotherapist), and Dt. Lisha J (Dietitian) delivered lectures on diverse topics. Dr. T. G. Varghese (Medical Superintendent & General Surgeon, C M Hospital) delivered the welcome address. Dr. R Krishnaveni (President, I M A Pandalam) presided over the event. Senior doctors of C M Hospital Dr. Mathew Varghese, Dr. John Varghese, Dr. Baiju P and other doctors also attended the seminar.
